I guess if you are a fully committed, active JW you would see it that way and fair enough.

how can we serve our loving father in the heavens?

First thing: avoid all organised religion like the plague, as they are all riddled with false teachings, including the Watchtower religion.
Try reaching out to people casually and 'witnessing' informally about God and Christ, and also by your conduct and bible based moral lifestyle. And do some volunteer work to help the poor, sick, needy, lonely.
That's all you need to do.

Forum discussion on homosexuality by SDAs
by barry ini feel the pain of homosexual people after all who would decide to be one and be ostracised by religious people and society at large.. http://www.spectrummagazine.org/blog/2008/05/02/southern_adventist_university_student_debate_homosexuality.

I feel the pain of families and normal, moral, heterosexual, Christian people who are now villified if they dare say homosexuality is wrong in God's eyes. Now it's the queers who are favoured and glorified in the media and entertainment industry and everyone else is labelled backward, hateful, bigoted, ignorant, "homophobic" etc.

Aguest.
So what is your definition of "unclean thing". If you mean a religion that teaches false teachings, then that exludes all organised religion, since they all teach false things.
Who do you associate with?

Yes, the GB and Watchtower Society are so faithful and marvellous, just marvellous, and everything they teach is pure truth, absolutely pure, without blemish; just trust them, without question.
SHEER HUBRIS. A BLIND AND FOOLISH SPIRITUAL DRUNKARD.
IS BROTHER MORRIS LIKE THE SELF-RIGHTEOUS PHARISEE THANKING GOD HE IS NOT LIKE ALL THE SINNERS, IN JESUS ILLUSTRATION, OR THE HUMBLE, CONTRITE SINNER WHO COULD NOT EVEN RAISE HIS EYES TO HEAVEN?
PRIDE IS BEFORE A CRASH.

Thanks for that Aguest. Your experience with Carey Barber raises a good point: what if the FDS disagree with each other, as they obviously do? The WTS thinks it has an absolutely monopoly on spiritual insights and 'prophesying' on scriptural truth, but that is not the case at all. There are many 'spirit-begotten' JW's and ex-JW's who hold differing opinions. Even the GB have different views, sometimes quite starkly, on certain teachings...that's why they vote and why a two-third's majority is needed on the GB to change anything. This makes the GB absolute hypocrities, as they expect 100% conformity and submission by the 'great crowd' to them, yet amongst themselves the GB often disagree. Double standards.

Is the JW religion slowly turning into 7th Day Adventist?
by White Dove ina friend of mine says they seem to be.
her sister sent a memorial invitation and said, "will you be going to the memorial of christ's death?
" she said that the use of "christ" was strange.

Well I dunno. There's a silent premise in your question. We know the JW's have significant historical roots in the Adventists, but can you elaborate? What is it about the 7th Day Adventists today that makes you think the JW's are "turning into" them?

Public Talk & Bookstudy Changes - the real reason
by bud2114 ini havn't been able to keep up with all the discussion in this forum as to why the gb has suddenly decided to implement these changes and perhaps someone has mentioned this already, but to me the most obvious reason has nothing to do with control, or money.
it has everything to do with the serious shortage of qualified brothers who can (or who are willing to) be used.
i have been involved in the organzation for 40 yrs and i have never seen the level of apathy and disillusionment among those serving in some capacity in this organization.
